POLISH ANIMATED FILMS AT THE SLOVAKIAN FESTIVAL
As many as seven Polish animated films are invited to this year's edition of the Slovakian festival Fest Anča. Five of them have a chance to win awards.
The Fest Anča International Animation Festival is the only Slovakian festival, entirely dedicated to the animated film addressed mostly to the adult audience. The programme of the festival is extremely rich. There will be no lack of retrospectives of well-known film-makers combined with workshops, thematic sections and the review of feature-length films. The organisers also offer a very rich programme of accompanying events and concerts.
The festival has as many as four competition sections: three international ones and one national. The jury will choose the best short animated film, the best music video, the best children's film and the best Slovakian production.
As many as five Polish films compete for the best short animated film award: "ACID RAIN" by Tomek Popakul, "III" by Marta Pajek, "The Hunt" by Mateusz Jarmulski, "Cold Pudding Settles Love" by Urszula Palusińska and "The Other" by Marta Magnuska.
In the non-competing section, however, there are two Polish animated films: "Komfort" by Weronika Banasińska and "Rain" by Piotr Milczarek.
It is worthwhile to pay attention to the best music video competition. You can also find Polish productions there.
This year's edition of the Fest Anči is held from the 27th to the 30th of June.
