POLISH FILMS IN PALM SPRINGS
As many as four Polish productions will be shown at the Palm Springs International Shortfest and Film Market.
The Palm Springs International Shortfest and Film Market is the largest festival in North America, dedicated to short films. Every year, over 350 films from all over the world are shown there, and the organisers inform about the record-breaking number of submissions, which exceeded 5 600. The majority of these productions also goes to the Market, where they have a chance to be noticed by the industry representatives, who numerously visit the festival.
With so many submissions, there are as many as 60 festival programmers working on the festival. It was them who selected four Polish films which have a chance to win awards this year.
Polish productions can be found in all three sections.„ACID RAIN” by Tomek Popakul competes for the best animated film at the festival. In turn, in the feature film section, "Loved Ones" directed by Zofia Kowalewska, has a chance to win awards.
Two Polish films are invited to the documentary film competition. The festival audience will have a chance to watch "Connected" by Aleksandra Maciejczyk and "The Briefing"; by Filip Drzewiecki.
This year's edition is held from the 18 th to the 24 th of June.
