ANIMATED FILM FESTIVALS IN APRIL
The fresh spring breeze brings new festivals and chances for awards for Polish animated film-makers.
From the end of March lasts the Lithuanian festival Kino Pavasaris, where one can watch "Sexy Laundry" by Izabela Plucińska and "A Documentary Film" by Marcin Podolec. The film by Podolec will participate in the competition at the 26th edition of the festival Finale Plzen in the Czech Republic.
The viewers of the Experiments in cinema in the USA and of Melbourne International Film Festival will see "Sto(ne)s" by Marcin Giżycki.
"Creatures" by Tessa Moult-Milewska will compete for awards at five festivals: Cluj Shorts in Romania, at festivals for children in India and Croatia, at the animated film festival in Detroit and at Mediawave in Hungary. The film will also be shown at the 28th edition of Filmfest Dresden. At the 26th edition of Mediawave, one can also see: "Moko" by Marta Szymańska, "Hippos" by Piotr Dumała, "But she's nice..." by Tomasz Pilarski and "Summer 2014" by Wojciech Sobczyk. The festival lasts until May 1.
"Hippos" will be also present at Skepto in Italy and at the French festival L'inconnu. "Kinki" by Izumi Yoshida will be shown at the same festival, it will also be featured at the festivals in Romania and the Netherlands.
