POLISH PROGRAM AT THE FESTIVAL IN LEEDS
The next edition of the Leeds festival begins in early November. This year, a Polish program is waiting for the audience, in which the most interesting animations of the directors will be presented, and this is not the only presence of our films at the festival.
Leeds International Film Festival is the largest English festival outside London. In the program, full-length, documentary and short films (including animations) compete for awards in three competition sections. Apart from the competition sections, cult and experimental films as well as numerous retrospectives are shown every year. This year's edition will be held on November 3-19.
This year, one of the special programs will be devoted to the work of Polish directors. The program is co-organized by the Krakow Film Foundation and cooperated with Polish Film Institute. The festival audience will have the opportunity to see "Creatures" by Tessa Moult-Milewska, "Fences" by Natalia Krawczuk, "XOXO-hugs and kisses" by Wiola Sowa, "Locus" by Anita Kwiatkowska-Naqvi, "Evening" by Izabela Plucińska , "Bernard" by Anna Oparkowska, "Na tongues" by Karolina Borgiasz, "III" by Marta Pajek, "Story" by Jola Bańkowska, "Squaring the Circle" by Karolina Specht, "Bless You!" Paulina Ziółkowska and "The Land Of Whim" by Betina Bożek. The latter film was also invited to the competition part of the festival.
The Polish program with animator films is not the only Polish accent during this year's edition of the festival. You will also be able to see our productions in the competition sections. "Kill It And Leave This Town" by Mariusz Wilczyński has a chance to become the best full-length animation of the festival. In the short film competition, the best international fiction could be Agnieszka Chmura's "Border Crossing". In turn, "We Have One Heart" by Katarzyna Warzecha was included in the competition for the best international animation.
