ANIMARKT AT ANIMART
This year, during the International AnimArt Festival, the first edition of ANIMARKT will be held.
ANIMARKT is a day long series of industry meetings for producers, broadcasters, distributors, film-makers and artists from all over Europe. It will be held on September 30, 2016 on Mała Scena in the New Theater in Lodz. The programme includes, among others, meetings with film-makers, representatives of film studios and television channels, involved in the production of animated film, presentations of famous animated projects in progress, as well as a discussion panel about the development of the European market of animated TV series. This year's ANIMARKT concentrates on the matters closely related to the making of feature-length films and series in the context of their financing and organising their production.
In the discussion panel The relationship between producer and broadcaster in the development of the European animated series market, the following people will participate: Anttu Harlin from Finland (the producer of the series and the application GIGGLEBUG, which were made in co-operation with the Finnish television channel YLE and the Swiss SRF), Ben Tesseur from Belgium (the co-founder of the studio Beast Animation, the producer and the director of TV series for children: "Dimitri" and "George & Paul," which were made in co-operation with Belgian and Dutch television channels) and Włodzimierz Matuszewski (the producer from the Film Miniatures Studio, co-operating with Polish broadcasters during the production of "Hip-Hip Hurray" and "The Storm Cloud Odyssey"), Marek Serafiński (the producer of the television series "Agatha") and Dominika Matych (responsible for production and automated dialogue replacement in NC+). The invited guests will present their experiences connected with, among others, broadcasters entering into co-production, producing series commissioned by television. The guests will also take a look at the issue of supporting production by state institutions. Producers and representatives of television channels from Belgium, Finland and other European countries will participate in the event.

My Life as a Courgette – ten years of work on the best puppet film of the year is a meeting with the makers of the film, which is already considered one of the most important European productions in recent years (the winner of the main award at the festival in Annecy, shown at the festival in Cannes, nominated for the LUX award, and the Swiss candidate for the Academy Award). People responsible for the production (Theo Ciret), visual side (Benoit Polveche) and animation (Christine Polis) will come to Lodz to tell about the work on the film and its subsequent stages.
In turn, the presentation Miś Uszatek - from the childhood sentiment to Polish super-production will be devoted to the work on the new version of the classic fairy tale - in particular, in the context of the innovative technologies used in the production, which is a combination of traditional stop-motion animation and 3D technique. The presentation will be hosted by Wojciech Stuchlik - the executive producer responsible for making the teaser for the feature-length film about the adventures of Miś Uszatek.
"Hot Cakes - the presentation of the latest productions by Polish animated film producers is a meeting prepared by Polish Animation Producers Association, it will be an opportunity to watch the fragments of the most anticipated Polish animated films, which are currently in production, and to listen about the greatest successes of Polish animated film in recent years. The presentation will be hosted by Wojtek Leszczyński.
