POLISH SHORTS STRIKES AGAIN AT CLERMONT-FERRAND
On visiting Polish Shorts stand the festival guests will have an opportunity to discover about the latest Polish short films, learn about film festivals in our country and get in touch with Polish film producers, sales agents and festivals’ representatives and producers working at Munk Studio, Kosma Film and Wajda Studio who will be present in Clermont-Ferrand, as well as representatives of New Europe Film Sales and Krakow Film Festival. The fifth edition of POLISH SHORTS 2012 compilation DVD, that features thirteen films representing all short genres, will premiere at the market. Additionally more than fifty Polish short films were included in the videolibrary and will be available for viewing by all the accredited festival guests.Another significant event in the industry programme – the Euro Connection co-production forum organized for the fifth time by Sauve Qui Peut le Court Metrage in cooperation with Marche du Film Court de Clermont-Ferrand, CNC and Media Desk France, will once again bring together the experts and producers searching for new projects and coproduction opportunities. Krakow Film Foundation, which is the Polish partner of the Forum, has chosen the projects “Circus Maximus” submitted by Kosma Film and “The Naturals” whose producer Joanna Solecka - representing Wajda Studio - will participate in the forum as the observer. On 5th February the project “Circus Maximus” will be presented at the pitching session in front of many prominent European producers.
After last year, when Grzegorz Jaroszuk receved in Clermont-Ferrand a Special Mention for his “Frozen Stories”, this year all eyes are on “All Souls’ Day” directed by Aleksandra Terpińska. Another Polish feature in the festivals’ programme is “Afternoon”- a short animation by Izabela Plucińska, that is going to scereen in the special AG Kurzfilm programme.
