FOCUS ON POLAND AT THE FESTIVAL IN EDINBURG
On the 21st of June, a new edition of Edinburgh International Film Festival started. This year's special guest of the festival is Polish cinema - in the section "Focus on Poland," Polish feature, documentary and animated films will be shown.
In the special programme of this year's edition of EIFF, there are eight full-length feature films and one representative of Polish feature-length documentary film: "You Have No Idea How Much I Love You" by Paweł Łoziński. The film will have its Scottish première in Edinburgh.
Two sets of Polish short films will also be shown in Scotland. The first screening will take place within the frames of the 15th anniversary of Wajda School, celebrated this year. The films "Aria Diva" by Agnieszka Smoczyńska, "Joanna" by Aneta Kopacz and "Telefono" by Marcin Wrona will be shown.
In the second screening, which is entitled "Polish Shorts: Perspectives," the audience will have a chance to watch both documentary as well as feature and animated films. EIFF will show "Close Ties" by Zofia Kowalewska, "Debut" by Katarzyna Kijek, "Evil Deeds" by Piotr Domalewski, "Foreign Body" by Marta Magnuska, as well as "Urban Cowboys" by Paweł Ziemilski.
