TWO POLISH PROJECTS PARTICIPATED IN CARTOON 360
Cartoon 360 was held from May 30 to June 1 in Barcelona.
Cartoon 360 is an event addressed to producers of a cross-media project in development. The producers have the opportunity to present their ideas in front of 25 experts. This year's edition of Cartoon 360 was held from May 30 to June 1 in Barcelona.
This year, 23 European cross-media projects coming from 12 different countries were presented. The selected projects were evaluated by a group of 25 specialists, representing various sectors and distribution channels. Two Polish projects participated in the pitching: "Grand Banda" produced by Grupa Smacznego and "Hee Hee Hatty" by Fundacja Anima Art from Krakow.
"Grand Banda" are retired superagents. They spent all their lives fighting against evil, and now they struggle with adversity. Only they still solve all their problems like agents do. It can mean only one thing - trouble! Particularly for the Mayor whose greatest dream is to get rid of all old people in the city. That'll be the day! Though they are over the hill and ailing, Kazia and Mirka are still unsinkable. The film is directed by Łukasz Kacprowicz and Marek Lachowicz, who also wrote the script of the animated film.
"Hee Hee Hatty" is a series of animated films for preschool children. It tells about the adventures of a little boy - Hitty - and his amazing paper hat - Hatty. It is a series about acoustic and visual riddles which are foreshadowed by the titles of individual episodes. They are intended to create mysterious atmosphere. They are both riddles and encouragement to think creatively, they are meant to draw the attention of the young viewer and highlight the character of the film. The film is directed by Tomasz Głodek, whose animated film "Sylwan" was included in the Polish competition at the 56th Krakow Film Festival, and the script is written by Bogna Sroka-Mucha.
