"MONUMENT" AWARDED AT BLACK MARIA FILM FESTIVAL

The animated film by Marcin Giżycki won the jury award at the American festival Black Maria Film Festival.

Black Maria Film Festival is held in New Jersey, the USA, since 1981. It is an international festival, focusing on various forms of short film.

This year, the jury award went to the experimental animated film by Marcin Giżycki, "Monument" The film shows the secret life of the monumental sculptures, designed by Jerzy Januszczkiewicz for the Soviet Military Cemetery in Warsaw.

Marcin Giżycki is a director, film historian, author of books about animated films and the director of the International Animated Film Festival Animator.
