THE 2ND EDITION OF ANIMART

This year's edition of the festival is held in Lodz from 24 to 30 September.

ANIMART is an interdisciplinary festival organised by the Arlekin Puppet Theatre, Lodz Film School and MOMAKIN, whose main protagonists are film and theatre puppets. The festival's aim is to make a wide audience acquainted with the achievements of Polish and foreign puppet theatre and stop motion animation artists.

 

The film events of the festival are divided by the organisers into three sections:

 

Anim.Art.Film includes the daily screenings of short films (Short Form Panorama) and evening screenings of feature-length animated films, as well as two cycles: Student exercises, that is, a presentation of the achievements of young animated film adepts from Polish film and art schools, and Brazilian Friends - a review of animated films from the partner festival from Recife Brazil Stop-Motion. The films making up the last cycle will be shown in Manufaktura on the big screen.

Anim.Art.Edu is an educational programme, consisting of: morning film screenings for children, workshops addressed to pupils, Masterclass for students given by the world-class animated film-maker Tim Allen, as well as the project "History through culture - Revolutions!"

Animarkt is one day cycle of industry meetings for producers, broadcasters, distributors, film-makers and artists from all over Europe, which is held on September 30, 2016 on Mała Scena at the New Theater in Lodz. The programme includes, among others, meetings with film-makers, representatives of film studios and television channels, involved in the production of animated film, presentation of famous animated projects in progress, as well as a discussion panel about the development of the European market of animated TV series. This year's ANIMARKT concentrates on the matters closely related to the making of feature-length films and series in the context of their financing and organising their production.
