“THIS WILL NOT BE A FESTIVAL FILM” AWARDED IN GERMANY
The film by Julia Orlik has once again defied its title. The animation has just received the Arte Short Film Award at the FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH festival.
FILMSCHOOLFEST MUNICH was first held in 1981, but its history goes back two years. It was then that the Internationale Münchner Filmwochen GmbH was established to create a film festival. Over the years, the event has constantly developed and changed, becoming one of the most important film events in Germany. Its program primarily includes school productions, creating space for young and courageous artists.
One of the films invited to this year's festival was the animation by Julia Orlik. This Will Not Be a Festival Film was noticed by the festival jury. The animation tells the story of a film school student who works on her diploma film.
