“MISALIGNED” WINS IN SPAIN
The latest animated film by Marta Magnuska was named best animated film at the Aguilar Film Festival.
The Aguilar Film Festival is one of Spain's most important short film festivals. The event has been held in December in the town of Aguilard de Campoo for the past 30 years. Its organisers focus on interesting and innovative productions from the entire world.
This year, the prize for the best animated film went to Marta Magnuska for Misaligned. The protagonists are a woman and a man in a room, with a gecko sitting in the terrarium, and several flies circling the lamp. Gradually, we notice more and more relationships and analogies between their actions and the observed elements, as the rhythm of their universes keeps accelerating. The microcosms shown seem to rhythmically interact with each other and belong to a higher, cosmic order.
