POLISH ANIMATED FILMS IN HUNGARY
As many as seven Polish animated films will be shown at this year's Alexandre Trauner Art / Film Festival in Hungary.
The Hungarian festival is held since 2000 in Szolnok. This year's event is going to be a breakthrough. It was decided to change the festival's name, which is now a tribute to the outstanding Hungarian scenographer Alexandre Trauner, as well as to introduce new categories, opening the festival's doors to feature films and visual arts. In the festival’s programme, there will be a plethora of excellent films, meetings and workshops with eminent guests as well as film market for the representatives of the film industry.
As many as six Polish animated films are included in the competition at this year's festival: "The Gentle Giant" by Marcin Podolec, "XOXO- Hugs and Kisses" by Wiola Sowa, "Black Volga" by Marta Wiktorowicz, "Debut" by Katarzyna Kijek, "Carrot Field" by Kacper Zamarło and the earlier part of the trilogy by Marta Pajek "Impossible Figures and Other Stories II." In one of the non-competing sections, the viewers of the festival will also watch "Traces of ephemeral" by Agnieszka Waszczeniuk.
