"Another Day of Life" by Damian Nenow and Raúl de la Fuente will be shown during a special screening at the 71st Cannes Film Festival.

Film is based on Ryszard Kapuściński's book. It is a story of a reporter seeking the truth about war, who  sets out on an extremely dangerous journey through Angola. The film takes place in 1975 in the war-torn country. During his expedition Kapuściński realizes that he witnesses events the meaning of which requires him to go beyond the role of an observer. It will initiate his rebirth both as a writer and as a human being. In "Another Day of Life" we not only see classic narrative scenes but also epic surreal sequences presenting the world through emotions and feelings of the protagonist. It is thanks to animation, which is not restricted by any formal limitation, that the filmmakers could show something the camera would not be able to capture. Documentary narration complements the story told through the animation. It allows to include in the picture the memory of those who survived the dramatic events in Angola during the civil war.

The film is a Polish-Spanish-German-Belgian-Hungarian co-production. Polish producers are Jarosław Sawko and Ole Wendorff-Østergaard from Platige Films. Polish distributor is Next Film.
