“POTATOES” RECEIVES SPECIAL RECOGNITION AT SPARK ANIMATION

The short animated film by Marcin Podolec has captivated the jury at Canada's prestigious Spark Animation festival.

Established in 2008, Spark Animation has become a premier gathering for animation and digital artistry. The festival draws not only film enthusiasts but also industry professionals and talented students showcasing their debut works. Focusing on groundbreaking innovations in animation, special effects, and virtual reality, the event stands as a vital platform for creative exchange between artists and technologists.

This year's accolades include a special mention for Marcin Podolec's latest work, Potatoes. Drawn with a deliberately shaky style, the film presents a poignant exploration of intergenerational relationships, suggesting that sometimes, the wisest course is simply to let go—both for others and oneself.
