POLISH ANIMATIONS AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN JUNE
Although many festivals will not take place this year, some of the planned events have moved online and it is there that you can see several Polish animations. There will certainly be plenty of them on Annecy or Huesce. Check out what other festival programmes include Polish animated productions.
On June 12, the 48th edition of the Spanish ego Huesca International Film Festival will begin. Two Polish animations will compete for prizes at the festival - 'Rain' by Piotr Milczarek and 'Story' by Jola Bieńkowska.
Three days after the Spanish festival, the most important animation event will begin. Admittedly, due to the pandemic, it will be held online, but the program of the Annecy festival remained as rich as ever, and at the same time the audience gained extra time to watch, because the festival will last until the end of June. Viewers of the French event will have the opportunity to see the first full-length animation of Mariusz Wilczyński - "Kill It And Leave This Town", but traditionally there will be plenty if short films. Films by three of our animators - "I’m here" by Julia Orlik, "Portrait of a Woman" by Natalia Durszewicz and "Such a Beautiful Tity" by Marta Koch were invited to the student competition. Whereas in the Off-Limits competition will showcase a short animation by Marcin Giżycki, "Sunset". And in the non-competition section will present last year's winner, Piotr Milczarek's "Rain".
Palm Springs International ShortFest in the United States also has its digital version. "Such A Beautiful Town” by Marta Koch will compete for an award there.
