"I AM HERE" SHORTLISTED FOR THE BAFTA AWARDS
The new animation by Julia Orlik just got selected to the short list of the best student films of BAFTA Student Film Awards.
This year, the BAFTA Student Film Awards shortlisted 60 student films in three categories, selected from nearly 700 submissions from film schools in 35 countries, among the Polish animation. "I'm here" directed by Julia Orlik has a chance to hit the final three, which will be announced on June 16.
The main protagonist of the Polish animation is an older man who looks after his paralyzed wife. Despite his old age and her own health problems, he is trying with all his strength to alleviate her suffering, which is getting harder every day. He is helped by his daughter, who tries to reconcile her care with work in the hospital and her family life. Each of them has different views on how they should care for the patient, which leads to many quarrels.
