POLISH ANIMATIONS AT ANIMATOR!
Eight new Polish animations were selected to this year's competition of the Animator film festival!
INTERNATIONAL ANIMATED FILM FESTIVAL ANIMATOR is an Oscar® qualifying festival. It is Poland's biggest cultural event devoted to animation. Each year the festival shows over 300 films from all over the world, including competition movies, premieres, retrospectives and thematic sections. Live concerts, workshops and extensive programme for children are also a big part of ANIMATOR. Omnipresent fusion with music is what distinguishes ANIMATOR from other film festivals in Poland.
From over one thousand submitted films from 63 countries the selection committee chose 48 short films. 7 Polish films were selected to the competition: Somnambulism directed by Aga Gawrońska, NEBULA by Marcin Nowrotek, Colaholic by Marcin Podolec, Squaring the Circle by Karolina Specht, III by Marta Pajek, Hyperion Cantos directed by Arsenii Brylov, Oh Mother! by Paulina Ziółkowska and Shape of the Moment by Mateusz Sadowski and one Polish-German co-production – Evening by Izabela Plucińska.
The 11th IAFF ANIMATOR will take place July 6-12, 2018 in Poznań. The full list of films is available at the festival website.
