VANILLA//WHIP
POLISH TITLE: KLIMAT I WANILIA
Vanilla Whip - animated documentary film which breaks social taboo about Polish BDSM with documentary-recorded sound. The story of four people with absolutely different approach to BDSM and vision of themselves. In this world anonymity meets self-awareness and safety confronts with riding on the edge. The director enters the hermetic world of BDSM people to get to know their everyday life in the difficult reality of contemporary Poland. Personal confessions of main characters are illustrated by animations of the director who filters these stories by her own sensibility in the context of the Polish society. Full of contrast image of BDSM community - marked by sex, whip, mystery and Virgin Mary. ‘It's a fairy tale for adults about the pain, pleasure, freedom, self-acceptance and… love’, says the director of the film.
