"ANOTHER DAY OF LIFE" NOMINATED FOR EUROPEAN FILM AWARDS

Damian Nenov and Raul de la Fuente's film is among the final four nominated films competing for European Film Award.

The winners of the 31st European Film Awards will be announced during an official gala which will take place December 15th in Seville, Spain. This is yet another time when a Polish coproduction has a chance to win this prestigious award. Last year the statuette for the best animation went to the filmmakers behind the film "Loving Vincent".

"Another Day of Life"  is a gripping story of a three-month-long trip that a renowned reporter Ryszard Kapuściński took across the war-torn Angola where the front lines shifted from one day to another. This feature animated film is based on Ryszard Kapuściński's book "Another Day of Life". Just like the readers of the original book, the audience will begin their journey with Kapuściński in 1975's Luanda, the capital city of Angola. The country is in the midst of decolonization efforts, launched after the success of the Carnation Revolution. Portuguese nationals are hurriedly fleeing the more glamorous districts of Luanda. Terrified by the possibility of a full-on attack on the capital, they are busy packing their belongings into wooden crates. Shops are closing down, law enforcement is gradually disappearing from the streets, heaps of garbage bags are slowly taking over the Angolan capital. Kapuściński keeps sending to the Polish Press Agency daily messages from the emptying city.

The film will open in Polish cinemas on November 2nd.
