The new 2009 edition of the “Polish Shorts” DVD


This publication, prepared like in the previous year by Krakow Film Festival and the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, supported by the Polish Film Institute, is intended for foreign film professionals – the representatives of festivals, markets, TV stations, international distributors.

On the DVD, there are films which are already widely appreciated abroad and shown at such important festivals as Sundance, IDFA or London Film Festival. The compilation consists of four documentaries (“The Lucky Ones” by Tomasz Wolski, “Little Bride” by Lesław Dobrucki, “Mother” by Jakub Piątek, and “Where the Sun doesn't Rush” by Matej Bobrik), four feature films (“The Echo” by Magnus von Horn, “Hanoi-Warsaw” by Katarzyna Klimkiewicz, “What the Doctors Say” by Michał Wnuk and “A Story of a Missing Car” by Grzegorz Jaroszuk), three animations (“Virus” by Robert Proch, “B-1033” by Paweł Kryszak, and “Esterhazy” by Izabela Plucińska) and one experimental film (“Come to Heaven” by Linn Karen Foerland).

All guests of the International Short-length Films Fair in Clermont-Ferrand, who visited the national stand POLISH SHORTS received the DVD. The DVD was a great success among the visitors to the Polish Stand at European Film Market during this year's Berlinale. This publication will also reach the guests of important international short-length film festivals, among others: Tampere FF, Curtas Vila do Conde, Huesca FF, Brest ESFF, Message to Man in Petersburg and will be promoted during the short film martket Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival.
