BETINA BOŻEK’S “LOVE ME TENDER” IN THE OFFICIAL SELECTION OF CINEQUEST FILM FESTIVAL

Betina Bożek’s latest animated film, “Love Me Tender,” has been selected for the official programme of the Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival 2026. The film will be the only Polish animation screening at the festival and will compete in the Animation Shorts section. Its screening in the United States will mark the film’s American premiere.

Cinequest is an international festival held annually in Silicon Valley, bringing together arthouse cinema, new technologies, and creativity. This year’s edition will run March 10-22 in San Jose and Mountain View. The event is also an Academy Awards® qualifying festival in the Short Films category.

“Love Me Tender” follows an introverted man who is emotionally attached to… a vacuum cleaner as he ventures into the world of online dating. After a string of failed encounters, he begins to realise that technology –  rather than bringing people together –  often pushes them apart, and that genuine closeness may be found in the most unexpected place.

The film is produced by Tomasz Wojaczyński.
