POLISH ANIMATIONS AT ANNENCY FESTIVAL

We already know all the titles of the films invited to the main programme of the 43th edition of the Annecy Festival. Several Polish animations have made it to the competition sections.

The festival in Annecy is the most important and one of the oldest festivals dedicated to  animated film in Europe. Each year it gathers an audience of 150 thousand people and becomes a meeting place for animated film professionals from all over the world.

One of the vital parts of the programme are four competitions. The selection committee has plenty of films to choose from; each year the festival receives a record-breaking number of submissions from which they select the candidates for the best short, television, student and commissioned film.

This year three Polish productions will compete for the title of the festival's best short animation: "Acid Rain" by Tomasz Popakul, "Story" by Jola BaƄkowska and "The Rain" by Piotr Milczarek. What is more, three Polish films were invited to the student competition: "You Are Overreacting" by Karina Paciorkowska, "Ovule" by Natalia Durszewicz and "The Little Soul" by Barbara Rupik.

This year's edition of the Annecy Festival will take place 10-15 June.
