JAROSŁAW KONOPKA AWARDED IN LONDON!

Today the London International Animation Festival came to and end. The Jury Special Award went to the film "The Escape" by Jarosław Konopka.

A woman and a child – both rescued by the memory. The apocalyptic annihilation has happened in their world. Afterimages of traumatic events distort the perception of reality. They are accompanied by the feeling of uncertainty and danger, the surrounding world leaves no chance of surviving. They exist but they seem dead, they meet without noticing each other, they live only through images in which time slowly blurs all the details, from where the last pieces of human oblivion escape. The meanings in the film are carried by a puppet, created and brought to life by stop-motion – a traditional technique of puppet animation.
